Golang Backend Development
Backend services in Go for high-throughput APIs, microservices, background workers and integrations that need predictable performance and simple deployment.
Built around your operation.
We design and build backend services in Go (Golang): public and internal APIs, microservices, background job processors, event-driven systems and integration services that connect your applications with third-party platforms.
Why it matters
Go compiles to a self-contained binary, starts quickly and has goroutines and channels for concurrent work built into the language. That makes it a strong fit for services handling many simultaneous requests or long-running jobs on modest infrastructure. The lasting benefit still comes from clear service boundaries, careful data access and good operational visibility.
Core scope
- REST and gRPC APIs in Go
- Event-driven services, workers and queues
- Observability, testing and cloud deployment
A deliberate approach.
- 01
Define service boundaries, API contracts (OpenAPI or Protocol Buffers) and data ownership
- 02
Implement handlers, domain logic and data access with table-driven tests and the race detector
- 03
Add structured logging, metrics, tracing, health checks and graceful shutdown
- 04
Containerise, deploy through CI/CD and load-test against agreed latency and throughput targets
ILLUSTRATIVE SYSTEM / CONNECTED DELIVERY LAYERS
Tools for the work.
- Go
- gRPC
- PostgreSQL
- Redis
- Kafka
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Prometheus
- AWS
- Google Cloud
What we design toward.
- Predictable latency under load
- Small, simple deployable services
- Code that is easy to read, test and operate
Typical use cases.
Common situations where teams bring us in for this work.
- 01
High-traffic APIs
Public or partner APIs that need consistent response times, rate limiting, authentication and versioning.
- 02
Background processing
Workers for queues, scheduled jobs, file imports, notifications and webhook delivery, with retries and idempotent processing.
- 03
Integration and gateway services
Services that sit between your product and payment, messaging, logistics or CRM providers and normalise their APIs.
- 04
Performance hot spots
Moving a slow or resource-hungry part of an existing Node.js, Python or PHP system into a focused Go service without rewriting everything.
Questions buyers ask.
Straight answers about scope, risk and ownership before you start a project.
When is Go the right choice for a backend?
Go suits network services, APIs, concurrent processing and infrastructure tooling where predictable performance, low memory use and simple deployment matter. Python is often a better fit for data-science-heavy work, and Node.js may be more practical for a team already invested in TypeScript. We recommend the language that fits the workload and the team that will maintain it.
Do you build microservices or a monolith?
Usually a well-structured modular service first, split only where there is a clear reason such as independent scaling, a separate team or a different reliability requirement. Premature microservices add network failure modes, deployment overhead and data-consistency problems without adding value.
Can you add a Go service to our existing system?
Yes. A common approach is to extract one performance-critical or integration-heavy capability into a Go service behind a stable API, run it alongside the existing system and move traffic over gradually.
How do you make Go services production-ready?
Context-aware timeouts and cancellation, graceful shutdown, structured logs, metrics and traces, health and readiness checks, tests run with the race detector, and load tests against agreed targets before launch.
